What this trial studies
This study aims to develop mental health care services tailored for cancer patients using interactive artificial intelligence. It involves surveying unmet medical needs and conducting clinical interviews to gather data, which will inform the creation of assessment and intervention scenarios. The study will recruit 20 participants from three institutions to identify specific needs and develop supportive strategies, including stress management and suicide risk management. A total of 300 interviews will be conducted to refine these scenarios and enhance patient support.
Who should consider this trial
Good fit: Ideal candidates for this study are patients diagnosed with malignant tumors who are currently undergoing treatment or are in follow-up care after curative treatment.
Not a fit: Patients who are unable to consent to research or participate in interviews due to cognitive decline will not benefit from this study.
Why it matters
Potential benefit: If successful, this approach could significantly improve mental health support for cancer patients, addressing their unique psychological needs.
How similar studies have performed: While the use of AI in mental health support is an emerging field, similar studies have shown promise in enhancing patient care, though this specific approach remains novel.
