What this trial studies
This project aims to adapt and disseminate a brief single session intervention (SSI) specifically designed for youth anxiety, focusing on cultural and linguistic diversity among Latin, Haitian, and Haitian-American individuals. The intervention will be delivered through a fully online platform, making it accessible to a wider audience. Caregivers of children aged 4-10 will participate in the study, ensuring that the intervention is tailored to meet the needs of these communities. The adaptation process will involve integrating culturally relevant elements to enhance the effectiveness of the intervention.
Who should consider this trial
Good fit: Ideal candidates for this study are caregivers of children aged 4-10 from Latin, Haitian, or Haitian-American backgrounds.
Not a fit: Patients outside the specified cultural backgrounds or those without children in the eligible age range may not benefit from this study.
Why it matters
Potential benefit: If successful, this intervention could provide culturally sensitive support for youth experiencing anxiety, improving their mental health outcomes.
How similar studies have performed: While there is a growing interest in culturally adapted interventions, this specific adaptation for youth anxiety is relatively novel and has not been extensively tested in similar formats.
