What this trial studies

This study investigates how acupressure can alleviate back pain and fatigue in patients who have undergone coronary angiography. Participants will be randomly assigned to receive either acupressure, sham acupressure, or no treatment at all. The study aims to assess the effectiveness of acupressure in reducing discomfort associated with prolonged bed rest following the procedure. Data will be collected using personal information forms and visual analog scales for pain and fatigue.

Who should consider this trial

Good fit: Ideal candidates are patients scheduled for coronary angiography who do not have a history of low back pain.

Not a fit: Patients with prior acupressure experience or those who develop complications after the procedure may not benefit from this study.

Why it matters

Potential benefit: If successful, this approach could provide a non-pharmacological method to reduce pain and fatigue in patients recovering from coronary angiography.

How similar studies have performed: Previous studies have shown promising results for acupressure in managing pain and fatigue, suggesting that this approach may be effective.
