What this trial studies
This study evaluates an intervention called CONNECTing to LungCare, designed to enhance shared decision-making conversations between patients and healthcare providers regarding smoking cessation and lung cancer screening. The intervention includes tailored educational materials and decision support tools to improve patient knowledge and reduce decisional conflict. Participants will engage with the program and provide feedback to refine the intervention, while also being randomized into groups to assess feasibility and acceptability. The study aims to gather qualitative insights from patients, providers, and other stakeholders to evaluate the effectiveness of the intervention.
Who should consider this trial
Good fit: Ideal candidates are current smokers aged 18 and older who are primary care patients at UCSF and may be candidates for lung cancer screening.
Not a fit: Patients who are not current smokers will not benefit from this intervention.

Inclusion Criteria: * English, Spanish and Cantonese speaking * Age \>= 18 years old * Primary care patients at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) General Internal Medicine (GIM) clinics * Must be current smokers and/or candidates for Lung Cancer Screening (LCS). Key Informant Interviews: \- Must be working in one of the clinics participating in CONNECTing to LungCare. Exclusion Criteria: * Not a current smoker
