What this trial studies
The Cantabria Cohort is a large observational study aimed at identifying and following a population-based cohort to enhance understanding of the etiology and prognosis of various acute and chronic diseases. Researchers will recruit between 40,000-50,000 residents aged 40-69 years, with a focus on collecting extensive data through participant questionnaires, medical examinations, and health system records. Participants will be reassessed every three years over a planned duration of twenty years, allowing for a comprehensive analysis of lifestyle, socio-economic factors, and health outcomes. This initiative is supported by the Valdecilla Research Institute and the regional government of Cantabria.
