What this trial studies

This interventional study will enroll at least 70 pregnant women in their third trimester, randomly assigning about half to a yoga intervention administered by the researcher and half to a control group. Data will be collected before and after the intervention using a Personal Information Form, the Perceived Stress Scale (PSS), the Sexual Quality of Life Questionnaire-Female (SQLQ-F), and a Sleep Habits Form. The yoga sessions are planned as a structured program tailored for pregnancy and delivered by the researcher, while the control group will receive usual care. Outcomes will compare changes in stress, sleep habits, and sexual quality of life between groups.

Who should consider this trial

Good fit: Ideal candidates are pregnant women in their third trimester who can read and write Turkish, have a smartphone and internet access, have no pregnancy risk factors or chronic/psychological illnesses, and voluntarily agree to participate.

Not a fit: Women with pregnancy risk factors, chronic illness, diagnosed psychological conditions, physician-imposed exercise restrictions, participation in other training programs, or who cannot use Turkish or a smartphone are unlikely to benefit or be eligible.

Why it matters

Potential benefit: If successful, this could offer a low-cost, nonpharmacologic way to reduce stress, improve sleep, and enhance sexual quality of life for pregnant women.

How similar studies have performed: Previous small trials suggest prenatal yoga can reduce stress and improve sleep, but evidence is limited and mixed and effects on sexual quality of life are less well studied.
