What this trial studies
This study investigates the effects of yoga nidra on pain levels, mobility, first walking distance, and maternal satisfaction in women who have undergone a cesarean section. A total of 128 participants will be divided into an experimental group receiving yoga nidra and a control group receiving standard care. The yoga nidra session will be conducted once, six hours post-surgery, lasting 30 minutes. Various measurement tools will be used to assess pain and satisfaction before and after the intervention.
Who should consider this trial
Good fit: Ideal candidates are women aged 19 to 35 who have had a cesarean section under spinal anesthesia and have no chronic diseases or complications.
Not a fit: Patients who have chronic health issues or complications during the birth and postpartum period may not benefit from this study.
Why it matters
Potential benefit: If successful, this approach could significantly reduce pain and improve recovery experiences for mothers after cesarean sections.
How similar studies have performed: While yoga nidra is a relatively novel approach in this context, similar studies have shown positive outcomes in pain management and recovery in other settings.
