Worldwide yearly screening and care planning for males treated for hypospadias
Pilot Testing of the Worldwide Yearly Screening for Hypospadias

What this trial studies
This pilot will recruit about 20 males with repaired hypospadias across pediatric, adolescent, and adult age bands to use the WYSH Web Application's Care Planning Tool and provide user experience and patient-reported outcome data. The tool was developed by an expert Delphi panel including clinicians, psychologists, and patients to address functional and psychosexual concerns after repair. Feasibility and acceptability will be measured using standardized user-experience metrics and questionnaires collected through the app and participating clinics. Participants may enroll through their local clinic, with the study coordinated by the University of Wisconsin–Madison.
Who should consider this trial
Good fit: Males aged about 5–65 with a documented history of repaired hypospadias who can use a web app (with parental consent/assent for minors as required) are ideal candidates.
Not a fit: People without a history of repaired hypospadias, those unable to access or use a web application, or those who cannot provide consent/assent are unlikely to benefit from this pilot.
Why it matters
Potential benefit: If successful, the tool could help patients identify and manage functional and psychosexual issues after hypospadias repair and streamline referrals to appropriate care.
How similar studies have performed: Prior research documents high rates of functional and psychosexual issues after hypospadias repair, but similar web-based care-planning interventions are limited and this WYSH tool represents a novel, pilot-stage approach.
