What this trial studies
This intervention involves a psychoeducational group workshop designed for grandparents who care for at least one minor grandchild. The workshop consists of five online sessions, each lasting approximately 90 minutes, focusing on various aspects of grandparenting, including defining their role, enhancing relationships, and understanding their emotional world. Participants will also receive a follow-up phone call to reinforce the concepts learned and provide additional support. The aim is to improve the psychological wellbeing and quality of life of grandparents through skill development and emotional competence.
Who should consider this trial
Good fit: Ideal candidates for this workshop are grandparents who are actively involved in the care of their minor grandchildren.
Not a fit: Patients suffering from moderate to severe dementia may not benefit from this workshop due to their inability to engage with the material.
Why it matters
Potential benefit: If successful, this workshop could significantly enhance the psychological wellbeing and quality of life for grandparents, fostering healthier family dynamics.
