What this trial studies
This study aims to assess the effectiveness of a web-based education program designed for first-time pregnant women, focusing on enhancing their readiness for newborn hygienic care practices. By providing accessible online resources, the program seeks to improve the knowledge and skills of these women in caring for their newborns. Participants will be primiparous women who have access to the internet and are willing to engage with the educational materials provided. The study will evaluate the impact of this intervention on their preparedness for newborn care.
Who should consider this trial
Good fit: Ideal candidates for this study are first-time pregnant women aged 15 years and older who have access to the internet and are willing to participate.
Not a fit: Patients who are not first-time mothers or those without access to the necessary technology may not benefit from this study.
Why it matters
Potential benefit: If successful, this program could significantly improve the hygiene practices of new mothers, leading to better health outcomes for their newborns.
How similar studies have performed: While similar web-based educational interventions have shown promise in other contexts, this specific approach for primiparous pregnant women is relatively novel.
