What this trial studies
This study evaluates the feasibility and effectiveness of using smart clothing that monitors heart rate for patients with multiple chronic diseases. The aim is to integrate these wearable devices into a home-based health care model, allowing for real-time monitoring and personalized exercise training through telehealth. Participants will be randomized into groups to assess the reliability and validity of the data collected from the e-clothes, which will inform future health management strategies. The ultimate goal is to enhance patient awareness and improve health outcomes through innovative technology.
Who should consider this trial
Good fit: Ideal candidates are individuals with more than two chronic diseases who can communicate in Mandarin and use smartphones.
Not a fit: Patients with a history of cancer, psychiatric diseases, or significant neurological and musculoskeletal conditions may not benefit from this study.
Why it matters
Potential benefit: If successful, this approach could significantly improve the management of chronic conditions and enhance the quality of life for patients.
How similar studies have performed: While the use of wearable technology in health management is gaining traction, this specific application in patients with multiple morbidities is relatively novel and has not been extensively tested.
