What this trial studies
This study examines the feasibility of a virtual Tai Chi Easy program designed for registered nurses to address issues such as transition shock, burnout, and stress. Participants will engage in two hours of guided virtual Tai Chi sessions each week, supplemented by an additional 40 minutes of independent practice. The study will last six weeks, during which participants will complete surveys to assess changes in their symptoms before, during, and after the intervention. The goal is to determine whether this approach can effectively reduce psychological distress among nurses.
Who should consider this trial
Good fit: Ideal candidates for this study are registered nurses with access to technology and the ability to participate in the virtual sessions.
Not a fit: Patients who are regularly participating in Tai Chi or similar mind-body exercises may not benefit from this study.
Why it matters
Potential benefit: If successful, this program could significantly improve the mental well-being and job satisfaction of registered nurses, potentially reducing turnover rates.
How similar studies have performed: While there have been various interventions aimed at reducing nurse burnout, the specific approach of virtual Tai Chi Easy is relatively novel and has not been extensively tested in this context.
