What this trial studies
This pilot study evaluates the feasibility of a remote stress management program aimed at reducing occupational stress among healthcare workers in nursing homes. Participants in the experimental group will engage in a virtual classroom setting to learn stress management techniques, while the control group will be placed on a waiting list. The study will measure participation rates and assess changes in physiological stress markers, burnout risk, and the psychological well-being of both staff and residents. The goal is to determine if this innovative approach can effectively support healthcare workers and improve the quality of life for nursing home residents.
Who should consider this trial
Good fit: Ideal candidates for this study are healthcare workers, such as nurses and nursing assistants, who have been employed in specialized care units of nursing homes for at least three months.
Not a fit: Patients who may not benefit from this study include those who are unable to provide consent or do not have a caring relationship with residents.
Why it matters
Potential benefit: If successful, this program could significantly reduce stress and burnout among nursing home staff, leading to improved care for residents.
How similar studies have performed: While similar approaches to stress management in healthcare settings have shown promise, this specific virtual classroom method is relatively novel and untested.
