What this trial studies

This study aims to validate the Speedy Meyer Fall Scale (SMFS) for assessing fall risk in pediatric patients aged 12 months to 16 years. It involves a multicenter survey conducted in Italy, focusing on the comprehension and validity of the scale through various statistical analyses, including Content Validity Index and reliability assessments. The study seeks to enhance fall prevention strategies by identifying children at risk of falls during hospitalization.

Who should consider this trial

Good fit: Ideal candidates for this study are children aged 12 months to 16 years who are admitted as in-patients and whose parents have provided consent.

Not a fit: Patients who do not have a signed consent form will not benefit from this study.

Why it matters
