What this trial studies
This observational study aims to translate the Acute Cystitis Symptom Score (ACSS) into Arabic and assess its linguistic validity and clinical reliability among Arabic-speaking women diagnosed with uncomplicated cystitis. Participants will complete the Arabic-ACCS questionnaire at diagnosis and again 5-10 days post-treatment to evaluate the clarity and effectiveness of the tool in identifying symptoms of cystitis. The study focuses on ensuring that the translated questionnaire accurately reflects the experiences of patients in this demographic.
Who should consider this trial
Good fit: Ideal candidates are Arabic-speaking women over 18 years old diagnosed with uncomplicated cystitis.
Not a fit: Patients who are pregnant, have urinary tract abnormalities, or have recently used antibiotics may not benefit from this study.
Why it matters
Potential benefit: If successful, this study could improve the diagnosis and management of uncomplicated cystitis in Arabic-speaking women.
How similar studies have performed: While this specific approach is novel, similar studies have successfully validated symptom scores in other languages and populations.
