What this trial studies
This study aims to validate Accexible, a tool designed for screening and monitoring Major Depressive Disorder (MDD). It focuses on analyzing language in relation to the description of images, assessing how changes in these descriptions may correlate with cognitive and emotional impairments in individuals. Participants will be adults aged 18-65 who are Spanish speakers and have access to a mobile phone with internet. The study will observe the effectiveness of Accexible in identifying and tracking depression symptoms over time.
Who should consider this trial
Good fit: Ideal candidates are Spanish-speaking adults aged 18-65 who have access to a mobile phone and can understand basic instructions.
Not a fit: Patients with neurodegenerative diseases or significant sensory impairments may not benefit from this study.
Why it matters
Potential benefit: If successful, this tool could provide a novel and accessible method for early detection and ongoing monitoring of depression.
How similar studies have performed: While the approach of using language analysis for monitoring depression is innovative, similar studies have shown promise in related fields, indicating potential for success.
