What this trial studies

This observational study aims to validate a tailored International Classification of Functioning (ICF) core set specifically designed for managing musculoskeletal conditions within primary care physiotherapy services. Participants will evaluate the clinical relevance of various ICF entities included in the core set based on their personal experiences with musculoskeletal issues. The study seeks to ensure that the ICF core set effectively addresses the needs of patients during the final stages of their rehabilitation and reintegration into the community. By integrating insights from patients, healthcare professionals, and researchers, the study aims to enhance the clinical utility of the ICF framework in primary care settings.

Who should consider this trial

Good fit: Ideal candidates for this study are adults aged 18 and older who have been diagnosed with a musculoskeletal condition by a general practitioner.

Not a fit: Patients referred for non-musculoskeletal problems or those coming from hospital services may not benefit from this study.

Why it matters

Potential benefit: If successful, this study could improve the management and rehabilitation of patients with musculoskeletal conditions in primary care settings.

How similar studies have performed: While the use of ICF core sets in other contexts has shown promise, this specific application in primary care physiotherapy for musculoskeletal conditions is relatively novel.
