What this trial studies
This study focuses on translating the Cognitive Failure Questionnaire into Urdu and assessing its reliability and validity among the elderly population. The approach involves administering the translated questionnaire to Urdu-speaking participants aged 60 and above, who are capable of completing it independently. The goal is to ensure that the questionnaire accurately reflects cognitive failures in this demographic, which can aid in better understanding and addressing cognitive health issues in elderly individuals.
Who should consider this trial
Good fit: Ideal candidates for this study are Urdu-speaking individuals aged 60 and above who can complete the questionnaire independently.
Not a fit: Patients below 60 years of age or those who cannot understand Urdu will not benefit from this study.
Why it matters
Potential benefit: If successful, this study could provide a reliable tool for assessing cognitive failures in Urdu-speaking elderly patients, leading to improved diagnosis and management of cognitive health.
How similar studies have performed: While there may be studies validating cognitive assessments in other languages, this specific translation and validation for Urdu-speaking elderly is a novel approach.
