What this trial studies
This study evaluates the effectiveness of combining transcranial direct current stimulation (tDCS) with prescribed physical exercises for patients suffering from chronic pain in a clinical setting. Patients attending physiotherapy clinics will receive daily tDCS sessions for five consecutive days while also engaging in tailored physical exercises. The goal is to assess how well this combined approach works in reducing chronic pain compared to traditional methods. The study aims to gather real-world data on the efficacy of tDCS when integrated into routine physiotherapy.
Who should consider this trial
Good fit: Ideal candidates for this study are individuals diagnosed with chronic pain who are seeking physiotherapy treatment.
Not a fit: Patients with contraindications to transcranial direct current stimulation will not benefit from this study.
Why it matters
Potential benefit: If successful, this approach could provide a novel and effective treatment option for patients suffering from chronic pain.
How similar studies have performed: While tDCS has shown promise in laboratory settings, this study aims to assess its effectiveness in real-world clinical environments, making it a novel approach.
