What this trial studies

This clinical trial aims to investigate the effects of traditional music therapy on burnout syndrome among healthcare workers. The study will involve approximately 80 participants, who will be divided into an intervention group receiving music therapy and a control group receiving only educational videos. Assessments will be conducted using the Maslach Burnout Inventory and various physiological measures, including heart rate variability and immune markers, before, during, and after the intervention. The goal is to determine how music therapy can improve psychological, neuroautonomic, immunological, and endocrinological aspects of burnout.

Who should consider this trial

Good fit: Ideal candidates are healthcare workers, specifically doctors and nurses, aged 18 to 60, experiencing intermediate to severe burnout.

Not a fit: Patients with chronic illnesses, psychological disorders, or those who dislike music may not benefit from this study.

Why it matters

Potential benefit: If successful, this approach could significantly alleviate burnout symptoms in healthcare workers, improving their mental health and overall well-being.

How similar studies have performed: While the use of music therapy in various settings has shown promise, this specific application to burnout among healthcare workers is relatively novel.
