What this trial studies
This study evaluates the feasibility of using technological systems to assess and rehabilitate cognitive, motor, and speech functions in children aged 4 to 18 with neurodevelopmental disabilities. It involves a non-randomized allocation of children based on their specific needs and functional profiles. The study will categorize and implement exercises from a library of technological systems, ensuring they are suitable for the developmental age of the participants. The goal is to provide effective rehabilitation pathways that can be accessed from home, overcoming geographic barriers and enhancing engagement through playful methods.
Who should consider this trial
Good fit: Ideal candidates are children aged 4-18 with congenital or acquired neurodevelopmental disabilities who can understand and cooperate with rehabilitation activities.
Not a fit: Patients with severe comorbidities or severe cognitive disabilities may not benefit from this study.
Why it matters
Potential benefit: If successful, this approach could significantly improve access to rehabilitation services and enhance cognitive and motor skills in children with neurodevelopmental disabilities.
How similar studies have performed: Other studies have shown success with similar telerehabilitation approaches, indicating potential for effective outcomes in this area.
