What this trial studies
This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of Su-Jok therapy and progressive muscle relaxation exercises in alleviating symptoms of premenstrual syndrome (PMS). Participants will engage in these alternative therapies to determine their impact on PMS management. The study seeks to provide insights into non-pharmaceutical approaches for women suffering from PMS, which can significantly affect their daily lives. By exploring these methods, the research hopes to offer safe and cost-effective solutions for symptom relief.
Who should consider this trial
Good fit: Ideal candidates for this study are women with regular menstruation who score over 104 points on the PMS scale and do not have chronic diseases.
Not a fit: Patients with irregular menstruation, chronic diseases, or those currently using other methods to cope with PMS may not benefit from this study.
Why it matters
Potential benefit: If successful, this study could provide women with effective non-drug options to manage their PMS symptoms.
How similar studies have performed: While alternative therapies for PMS have been explored, the specific combination of Su-Jok therapy and progressive muscle relaxation is relatively novel and has not been extensively tested in prior studies.
