What this trial studies
This study evaluates the use of a wearable smart ring to monitor physical activity and sleep in healthy pregnant women from the first to the third trimester. It aims to assess the acceptability and compliance of this technology while examining the relationship between maternal characteristics and health markers. Participants will wear the Oura Ring throughout their pregnancy, with data collected via a mobile application to track their health metrics. This innovative approach seeks to enhance pregnancy health management through remote monitoring and personalized care.

Good fit: Ideal candidates are healthy pregnant women aged 21 to 45 from diverse ethnic backgrounds.
Not a fit: Patients with severe chronic disorders or unstable mental conditions may not benefit from this study.
Why it matters
Potential benefit: If successful, this study could lead to improved health monitoring and outcomes for pregnant women.
How similar studies have performed: While studies on wearable technology in health monitoring are emerging, the specific use of smart rings in pregnancy is novel and largely untested.
