What this trial studies
This study investigates the impact of mobilizing patients using nature sounds on their levels of anxiety, pain, and stress during recovery from laparoscopic surgery for gallbladder stones. The intervention involves exposing patients to calming nature sounds as they mobilize post-surgery. The goal is to assess whether this auditory intervention can enhance recovery outcomes and improve overall patient experience. Participants will be monitored for changes in their anxiety, pain, and stress levels throughout the process.
Who should consider this trial
Good fit: Ideal candidates are adults aged 18 and older who are undergoing their first elective laparoscopic surgery for gallbladder stones and are mentally stable.
Not a fit: Patients with mental health issues, hearing impairments, or those requiring emergency surgery may not benefit from this study.
Why it matters
Potential benefit: If successful, this approach could significantly improve recovery experiences for surgical patients by reducing anxiety, pain, and stress.
How similar studies have performed: While the specific approach of using nature sounds in this context may be novel, similar studies have shown positive outcomes in reducing anxiety and stress through auditory interventions.
