What this trial studies

This study examines the effects of music therapy on pain and comfort levels in patients who have undergone laparoscopic abdominal surgery. Patients will be divided into an experimental group, which will listen to music for 20 minutes post-surgery, and a control group, which will receive standard care without music. Pain and comfort levels will be assessed before and after the intervention using standardized scales. The study aims to compare results between Turkey and Iran to evaluate the effectiveness of music therapy in postoperative care.

Who should consider this trial

Good fit: Ideal candidates are adults over 18 years old who can communicate effectively.

Not a fit: Patients with hearing or mental problems, or those whose laparoscopic surgery was converted to open surgery, may not benefit from this study.

Why it matters

Potential benefit: If successful, this approach could significantly reduce pain and enhance comfort for patients recovering from laparoscopic surgery.
