What this trial studies
This clinical trial evaluates the effectiveness of hyaluronic acid hydrogel for augmenting interdental papilla in patients with gingival destruction. Participants will be divided into two groups: one receiving the hyaluronic acid gel injection and the other receiving a saline placebo. The study aims to assess the clinical outcomes of papilla augmentation in the anterior region of the mouth. The trial focuses on patients with specific criteria, ensuring a controlled environment for accurate results.
Who should consider this trial
Good fit: Ideal candidates are non-smoking adults over 18 with specific types of interdental papilla recession and good oral hygiene.
Not a fit: Patients with systemic diseases, active periodontal conditions, or those who smoke may not benefit from this study.
Why it matters
Potential benefit: If successful, this treatment could enhance the aesthetic appearance of gums and improve oral health for patients with papilla recession.
How similar studies have performed: While there is limited data on the specific use of hyaluronic acid for this purpose, similar studies in periodontal treatments have shown promising results.
