What this trial studies

This study evaluates the effectiveness of focal vibration therapy in reducing pain and improving mobility and functionality in patients suffering from adhesive capsulitis of the shoulder. Participants will undergo treatment aimed at enhancing the glenohumeral joint's range of motion and alleviating discomfort. The study will assess changes in pain levels, joint function, and muscle tone, as the mechanisms behind focal vibration therapy in this context are not yet fully understood.

Who should consider this trial

Good fit: Ideal candidates are adults over 18 with unilateral adhesive capsulitis lasting more than three months and significant limitations in shoulder movement.

Not a fit: Patients with previous shoulder surgeries, rotator cuff tears, or conditions like diabetes or malignancy may not benefit from this study.

Why it matters

Potential benefit: If successful, this therapy could provide significant pain relief and improved shoulder function for patients with adhesive capsulitis.

How similar studies have performed: There are currently no studies examining the effects of focal vibration therapy specifically on adhesive capsulitis, making this approach novel.
