What this trial studies
This study investigates whether filling the bladder can help straighten the uterus and reduce pain for patients with excessive anteflexion undergoing office hysteroscopy. Participants will be divided into two groups: one with an empty bladder and another with bladder distension. The goal is to determine if the bladder distension leads to a more comfortable experience during the procedure. This approach aims to improve patient comfort and outcomes during a common gynecological procedure.
Who should consider this trial
Good fit: Ideal candidates are women with excessive anteflexion of the uterus who require office hysteroscopy.
Not a fit: Patients with cervical pathology, previous cervical surgery, or severe vaginal bleeding may not benefit from this study.
Why it matters
Potential benefit: If successful, this approach could significantly reduce pain during office hysteroscopy for patients with excessive anteflexion of the uterus.
How similar studies have performed: While similar studies on pain management during hysteroscopy exist, this specific approach of bladder distension for excessive anteflexion is novel and has not been extensively tested.
