Using advanced MRI to detect brain diseases

Brain Diseases on 7.0T Magnetic Resonance Imaging

Not applicable Interventional Chinese PLA General Hospital · NCT05287750

What this trial studies

This clinical trial investigates the effectiveness of 7-Tesla (7T) magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) compared to standard 3T MRI in identifying brain diseases such as tumors and cerebrovascular conditions. The study focuses on the enhanced sensitivity and resolution of 7T MRI, which may lead to better diagnostic accuracy and treatment decisions. Participants will undergo MRI scans to evaluate the imaging characteristics and diagnostic capabilities of 7T MRI in clinical settings.

Who should consider this trial

Good fit: Ideal candidates for this study are adults aged 18 to 80 who have been diagnosed with brain diseases and are clinically stable.

Not a fit: Patients under 18 or over 80, pregnant individuals, or those with contraindications to MRI will not benefit from this study.

Why it matters

Potential benefit: If successful, this study could lead to more accurate diagnoses and improved treatment strategies for patients with brain diseases.

How similar studies have performed: Other studies have shown promising results with advanced MRI techniques, suggesting that this approach may enhance diagnostic capabilities.
