Using advanced imaging technology to diagnose gastrointestinal diseases
Application of Multimodal Endoscopic Functional Imaging Technology in the Diagnosis of Common Gastrointestinal Diseases
This study is testing new imaging technologies to see if they can help doctors better diagnose gastrointestinal diseases by looking at the blood vessels and surfaces in the digestive tract.

What this trial studies
This study explores the use of endoscopic laser speckle imaging and multispectral blood oxygen imaging to observe gastrointestinal lesions. It aims to identify differences in the morphology, density, and functional status of mucosal surfaces and deep blood vessels associated with various gastrointestinal conditions. By enhancing conventional endoscopic examinations, the study seeks to improve early diagnosis of gastrointestinal tumors through noninvasive imaging techniques. The research focuses on understanding the multilayer morphology and functions of mucosal vessels in the digestive tract.
Who should consider this trial
Good fit: Ideal candidates include adults aged 18-80 with diagnosed or suspected common gastrointestinal mucosal diseases.
Not a fit: Patients with severe cardiovascular, cerebrovascular, or hematopoietic system impairments, or those unable to tolerate endoscopy, may not benefit from this study.
Why it matters
Potential benefit: If successful, this approach could lead to earlier and more accurate diagnoses of gastrointestinal tumors, improving patient outcomes.
How similar studies have performed: While the approach is innovative, similar studies utilizing advanced imaging techniques have shown promise in improving diagnostic accuracy for gastrointestinal diseases.
