What this trial studies

This study investigates the effectiveness of using 68Ga-NY104 PET/CT imaging to guide radiation therapy in patients with advanced clear cell renal cell carcinoma (ccRCC). The approach combines targeted imaging with radiation treatment and standard systemic therapy to improve outcomes for patients with metastatic or recurrent ccRCC. The study aims to evaluate the diagnostic efficacy of the CAIX-targeted PET tracer and its impact on treatment response. Participants will undergo imaging and receive radiation therapy based on the results, with the goal of enhancing therapeutic effectiveness.

Who should consider this trial

Good fit: Ideal candidates are adults aged 18 and older with histologically confirmed clear cell renal cell carcinoma who are eligible for radiation therapy.

Not a fit: Patients with brain metastasis, other uncontrolled malignancies, or those who are pregnant or breastfeeding may not benefit from this study.

Why it matters

Potential benefit: If successful, this approach could lead to improved treatment outcomes for patients with advanced clear cell renal cell carcinoma.

How similar studies have performed: Previous studies have shown promising outcomes with similar approaches combining radiation therapy and systemic therapy in metastatic ccRCC.
