What this trial studies
This study aims to investigate the prevalence and anatomical variations of superficial and deep uterine veins, which are crucial for surgical procedures such as uterine transplantation and radical hysterectomy. By examining the relationships of these veins with surrounding structures, the research seeks to enhance surgical safety and reduce complications like bleeding. The study will involve patients with endometrial and cervical cancer who are scheduled for surgery, focusing on gathering detailed anatomical data that is currently limited.
Who should consider this trial
Good fit: Ideal candidates for this study are women diagnosed with endometrial or cervical cancer who are scheduled for surgical intervention.
Not a fit: Patients with uterine vascular anatomy altered by conditions such as myomas or infections may not benefit from this study.
Why it matters
Potential benefit: If successful, this study could lead to improved surgical outcomes and reduced complications for patients undergoing uterine surgeries.
How similar studies have performed: While there is limited existing research specifically on uterine vein variations, studies on vascular anatomy in surgical contexts have shown that improved anatomical knowledge can lead to better surgical outcomes.
