Understanding the significance of the Lysholm Knee Score for knee injuries
Establishing the Clinical Significance Values of the Lysholm Knee Score in Patients Undergoing Anterior Cruciate Ligament Reconstruction

What this trial studies
This observational study focuses on patients undergoing anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) reconstruction to determine the minimal clinically important difference and substantial clinical benefit values of the Lysholm Knee Score. It aims to identify risk factors that may prevent patients from achieving these important clinical milestones post-surgery. By analyzing patient outcomes, the study seeks to enhance understanding of the effectiveness of ACL reconstruction and improve patient care.
Who should consider this trial
Good fit: Ideal candidates for this study are adults over 18 years old who are scheduled for surgery due to a ruptured anterior cruciate ligament.
Not a fit: Patients with metabolic or autoimmune diseases, those undergoing revision surgeries, or individuals with cognitive issues may not benefit from this study.
Why it matters
Potential benefit: If successful, this study could provide valuable insights that help improve recovery outcomes for patients undergoing ACL reconstruction.
How similar studies have performed: While the specific approach of this study may be novel, similar studies have successfully evaluated clinical significance in other orthopedic contexts.
