What this trial studies
The SENOVIE France project aims to explore how breast cancer affects the life trajectories of women born in France compared to those born in sub-Saharan Africa. This observational survey will collect data from women diagnosed with breast cancer between 2014 and 2020, focusing on their experiences with diagnosis, treatment, and recovery. By examining social inequalities and access to care, the study seeks to highlight the unique challenges faced by immigrant women in France. The findings will provide valuable insights into the disparities in breast cancer outcomes and care.
Who should consider this trial
Good fit: Ideal candidates include women aged 18 or older who have been diagnosed with breast cancer between 2014 and 2020 and are either born in sub-Saharan Africa or France.
Not a fit: Patients who do not speak French or were diagnosed with breast cancer outside the specified timeframe will not benefit from this study.
Why it matters
Potential benefit: If successful, this study could lead to improved support and healthcare strategies for immigrant women facing breast cancer.
How similar studies have performed: While studies on social inequalities in breast cancer exist, this specific focus on immigrant women is relatively novel and has not been extensively tested.
