What this trial studies

This observational study aims to differentiate between sporadic Lymphangioleiomyomatosis and Tuberous Sclerosis Complex-associated Lymphangioleiomyomatosis. It will involve patients who are 18 years or older and have a chest CT that shows signs of cystic lung disease suspected to be Lymphangioleiomyomatosis. The study will collect and analyze data to better understand the genotype and phenotype of these conditions.

Who should consider this trial

Good fit: Ideal candidates for this study are adults aged 18 and older with a chest CT indicating cystic lung disease suspected to be Lymphangioleiomyomatosis.

Not a fit: Patients under the age of 18 will not benefit from this study.

Why it matters

Potential benefit: If successful, this study could lead to improved diagnosis and management strategies for patients with Lymphangioleiomyomatosis.

How similar studies have performed: While this study focuses on a specific differentiation within Lymphangioleiomyomatosis, similar observational studies have shown promise in understanding complex diseases.
