What this trial studies
This observational study aims to identify factors that influence the time it takes for women with localized breast cancer to return to work after diagnosis. By collecting data through questionnaires sent to patients treated at Grenoble University Hospital from 2015 to 2019, the study will explore various influences such as treatment types, side effects, and support systems. The goal is to understand the psychosocial factors involved in the return-to-work process and to develop actionable programs that facilitate a smooth transition back to professional life.
Who should consider this trial
Good fit: Ideal candidates are women aged 18 to 60 who have been diagnosed with localized breast cancer and were working at the time of diagnosis.
Not a fit: Patients who are retired, incarcerated, or have psychiatric conditions that interfere with their ability to complete questionnaires may not benefit from this study.
Why it matters
Potential benefit: If successful, this study could lead to improved support programs that help breast cancer survivors reintegrate into the workforce more effectively.
How similar studies have performed: While similar studies have explored return-to-work issues for cancer survivors, this specific approach focusing on localized breast cancer and psychosocial factors is relatively novel.
