Understanding profiles in patients with severe nasal polyps
Anatomo-clinico-biological Profiles in Severe Nasal Polyps
This study is trying to find out more about patients with severe nasal polyps that don't get better with medicine to see how their unique traits can help predict how well they might respond to surgery.

What this trial studies
This study aims to identify anatomo-clinico-biological profiles in patients suffering from severe nasal polyps that are resistant to medical treatment. It focuses on patients who require surgical intervention, specifically ethmoidectomy, and seeks to correlate anatomical and clinical characteristics with biological markers. The goal is to enhance the understanding of treatment responses and improve patient management strategies. By analyzing these profiles, the study hopes to identify predictors of treatment outcomes for nasal polyposis.
Who should consider this trial
Good fit: Ideal candidates for this study are adults aged 18 and older with nasal sinus polyposis that has not responded to medical treatment and who require surgical intervention.
Not a fit: Patients currently undergoing biotherapy or those who have taken corticosteroids within four weeks prior to surgery may not benefit from this study.
Why it matters
Potential benefit: If successful, this study could lead to more personalized treatment approaches for patients with severe nasal polyps, improving their chances of effective management.
How similar studies have performed: While there have been studies exploring treatment responses in nasal polyps, this specific approach to correlate anatomical and biological profiles is relatively novel.
