What this trial studies

This observational study aims to assess how well patients hospitalized at Melun Hospital understand their own vaccination status and their general attitudes towards vaccination. A sample of 140 patients will be randomly selected from various departments and asked to complete a questionnaire during their hospitalization. The study will also evaluate factors such as gender, occupation, and chronic illness that may influence vaccination knowledge and attitudes. This initiative is part of the European Vaccination Week organized by the French Ministry of Health and Prevention.

Who should consider this trial

Good fit: Ideal candidates for this study are French-speaking adults aged 18 and older who are currently hospitalized at Melun Hospital.

Not a fit: Patients who do not speak French or have dementia will not benefit from this study.

Why it matters

Potential benefit: If successful, this study could enhance awareness and improve vaccination rates among hospitalized patients.

How similar studies have performed: While similar studies on vaccination awareness have been conducted, this specific observational approach focusing on hospitalized patients is relatively novel.
