What this trial studies

This observational study aims to explore the experiences, expectations, and preferences of patients who have received care at the UHS COVID-19 follow-up clinic. The clinic provides long-term care for individuals who have had COVID-19, including chest X-rays, blood tests, and virtual consultations. By conducting qualitative interviews with patients, the study seeks to gather insights on the impact of post-COVID symptoms and the effectiveness of the follow-up services provided. The findings will help inform improvements in patient care and service delivery.

Who should consider this trial

Good fit: Ideal candidates for this study are adults aged 18 and over who have been diagnosed with COVID-19 and have received care at the UHS COVID follow-up clinic.

Not a fit: Patients who have not been treated at the UHS COVID follow-up clinic or those unable to provide informed consent will not benefit from this study.

Why it matters

Potential benefit: If successful, this study could enhance the quality of care for patients recovering from COVID-19 by tailoring services to better meet their needs.

How similar studies have performed: While there have been studies on post-COVID care, this specific approach focusing on patient experiences in a follow-up clinic is relatively novel.
