What this trial studies
This observational study aims to identify chronic pain phenotypes in individuals diagnosed with Fibromyalgia Syndrome (FMS). It will assess the reliability of a pain classification method and evaluate how different pain types impact patients' experiences. By focusing on the clinicimetric and psychometric properties of pain phenotypes, the study seeks to enhance treatment decisions for clinicians and improve patient outcomes. Participants will be monitored for their pain characteristics without receiving active physiotherapy treatment.
Who should consider this trial
Good fit: Ideal candidates are individuals diagnosed with fibromyalgia syndrome who are not currently undergoing active physiotherapy treatment.
Not a fit: Patients with severe mental disorders or other significant health issues may not benefit from this study.
Why it matters
Potential benefit: If successful, this study could lead to more tailored and effective treatment strategies for patients with fibromyalgia.
How similar studies have performed: While studies on pain phenotypes exist, this specific approach to fibromyalgia is novel and has not been extensively tested.
