What this trial studies

This clinical trial aims to investigate the physiological responses of the body following food intake by utilizing wearable technology. Participants will wear three devices for two weeks to continuously collect data on various physiological parameters, including ECG, pulse rate, body temperature, movement, skin conductance, and glucose levels. Additionally, participants will document their food intake using an app that allows for photo-based meal tracking. The ultimate goal is to develop a method for determining food intake based solely on physiological data without user input.

Who should consider this trial

Good fit: Ideal candidates for this study are individuals with a BMI between 18.5 and 25 kg/m2 who do not follow a special diet.

Not a fit: Patients following a vegan diet or any special diet aimed at weight loss may not benefit from this study.

Why it matters

Potential benefit: If successful, this study could lead to improved methods for monitoring dietary habits and understanding physiological responses to food, potentially aiding in nutritional guidance and health management.

How similar studies have performed: While there have been studies utilizing wearables for health monitoring, this specific approach to determining food intake from physiological data is relatively novel.
