What this trial studies

This observational study focuses on migrant patients with type 2 diabetes at the Centre Hospitalier de Saint-Denis. It aims to explore the cultural, social, and personal factors that influence their dietary habits and how these perceptions impact their diabetes management. By understanding these behaviors, the study seeks to develop more culturally adapted care strategies for this population.

Who should consider this trial

Good fit: Ideal candidates are adult migrant patients diagnosed with type 2 diabetes for at least three months who have arrived in France within the last seven years and can communicate in French or English.

Not a fit: Patients with type 1 diabetes or those who do not speak French or English may not benefit from this study.

Why it matters

Potential benefit: If successful, this study could lead to improved dietary management strategies tailored to the cultural needs of migrant patients with type 2 diabetes.

How similar studies have performed: While there may be limited studies specifically targeting migrant populations with type 2 diabetes, similar approaches in culturally adapted care have shown promise in other contexts.
