What this trial studies
This observational study aims to assess the prevalence of peripheral vascular diseases in patients diagnosed with various autoimmune diseases, such as systemic lupus and rheumatoid arthritis. It will involve a cross-sectional analysis of patients with a history of vascular issues related to their autoimmune conditions. The study seeks to identify the relationship between autoimmune diseases and the risk of developing peripheral vascular complications, contributing to a better understanding of these conditions' impact on vascular health.
Who should consider this trial
Good fit: Ideal candidates include individuals of all ages and sexes with a history of vascular diseases associated with proven autoimmune diseases.
Not a fit: Patients without an established diagnosis of vascular diseases or those who do not meet the criteria for autoimmune diseases may not benefit from this study.
Why it matters
Potential benefit: If successful, this study could lead to improved management and treatment strategies for patients with autoimmune diseases at risk for peripheral vascular complications.
How similar studies have performed: While there have been studies exploring the relationship between autoimmune diseases and vascular health, this specific observational approach focusing on prevalence is relatively novel.
