What this trial studies

This observational study aims to identify predictors of cardiovascular disease progression and mortality in patients hospitalized with COVID-19. It involves both retrospective and prospective data collection from patients with confirmed SARS-CoV-2 infections. The study analyzes patient characteristics, medical history, and treatment outcomes to determine factors associated with disease progression. Logistic analyses will be conducted to evaluate the relationship between these factors and patient mortality.

Who should consider this trial

Good fit: Ideal candidates are hospitalized patients over 18 years old with confirmed COVID-19.

Not a fit: Patients under 18 years old will not benefit from this study.

Why it matters

Potential benefit: If successful, this study could help identify at-risk patients and improve management strategies for cardiovascular complications in COVID-19.

How similar studies have performed: Other studies have explored cardiovascular implications of COVID-19, suggesting potential for significant findings in this area.
