What this trial studies
This observational study focuses on healthcare professionals at the University Hospitals of Strasbourg who were diagnosed with SARS-CoV-2. It aims to identify the professional and individual factors influencing their experience with COVID-19 and the subsequent impact on their ability to return to work. By analyzing data from these professionals, the study seeks to uncover risk factors for transmission, protective measures, and the evolution of the disease. The findings could help improve strategies for safeguarding healthcare workers during pandemics.
Who should consider this trial
Good fit: Ideal candidates include healthcare professionals aged 18 and older who were working at the University Hospitals of Strasbourg during their COVID-19 diagnosis.
Not a fit: Patients who are not healthcare professionals or those who did not work at the University Hospitals of Strasbourg during their COVID-19 diagnosis may not benefit from this study.
Why it matters
Potential benefit: If successful, this study could lead to better protective measures and policies for healthcare workers during COVID-19 and future pandemics.
How similar studies have performed: While there have been studies on COVID-19's impact on healthcare workers, this specific focus on professional and individual factors related to return to work is relatively novel.
