What this trial studies

This clinical trial evaluates the safety and clinical response of non-ablative radiofrequency treatment combined with low-intensity shock wave therapy in men suffering from Peyronie's disease. Participants will complete five validated questionnaires to assess their erectile function, quality of life, and psychological well-being. Physical assessments will include palpation of the fibrotic plaque, pharmacological induction of erection, and ultrasound measurements of the plaque size. The study aims to determine both the safety of the treatment and any clinical improvements experienced by the participants.

Who should consider this trial

Good fit: Ideal candidates are men experiencing clinical complaints related to Peyronie's disease, regardless of the disease stage.

Not a fit: Patients with pacemakers, cardiac defibrillators, or any other electromagnetic implants will not benefit from this study.

Why it matters

Potential benefit: If successful, this treatment could provide a non-invasive option for men with Peyronie's disease, potentially improving their symptoms and quality of life.

How similar studies have performed: While this approach is innovative, similar studies exploring non-invasive treatments for Peyronie's disease have shown promise, suggesting potential for success.
