What this trial studies
This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of Electromagnetic Transduction Therapy (EMTT) as a treatment for patients suffering from osteoarthritis in the foot and ankle. Participants will undergo this therapy to assess its impact on pain relief and functional improvement. The study will include men and women diagnosed with osteoarthritis confirmed through radiographic imaging. The goal is to determine if EMTT can provide a viable alternative to traditional treatments.
Who should consider this trial
Good fit: Ideal candidates are men and women with radiographically confirmed osteoarthritis of the foot and/or ankle.
Not a fit: Patients with pacemakers, active cancer, or those who have had recent injections or surgeries related to their foot or ankle may not benefit from this study.
Why it matters
Potential benefit: If successful, this therapy could offer a new, non-invasive treatment option for patients with osteoarthritis in the foot and ankle.
How similar studies have performed: While this approach is relatively novel, similar therapies have shown promise in treating other conditions, suggesting potential for success.
