Treatment for Frozen Shoulder Using Hydrodilation and Spencer Technique
Effects of Spencer Technique Following Hydrodilation in Patients With Adhesive Capsulitis
This study is testing if combining a special physical therapy technique with a shoulder injection can help people aged 40 to 60 with frozen shoulder move better and feel less pain.

What this trial studies
This study investigates the effects of combining the Spencer technique, a physical therapy method, with hydrodilation, a procedure that injects saline into the shoulder joint, for patients suffering from adhesive capsulitis, commonly known as frozen shoulder. The aim is to improve shoulder mobility and reduce pain by addressing the tightness in the shoulder capsule and surrounding tissues. Participants will undergo both treatments to evaluate their effectiveness in restoring range of motion and alleviating functional disability. The study focuses on patients aged 40 to 60 who have been diagnosed with unilateral adhesive capsulitis and have already undergone hydrodilation.
Who should consider this trial
Good fit: Ideal candidates are individuals aged 40 to 60 with unilateral adhesive capsulitis who have received hydrodilation treatment.
Not a fit: Patients who have recently experienced major shoulder injuries, surgeries, or other conditions affecting shoulder range of motion may not benefit from this study.
Why it matters
Potential benefit: If successful, this approach could significantly enhance shoulder mobility and reduce pain for patients with adhesive capsulitis.
How similar studies have performed: While the combination of hydrodilation and the Spencer technique is a relatively novel approach, similar studies have shown promise in improving outcomes for adhesive capsulitis.
