What this trial studies
This study investigates the effects of treadmill training on children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) who exhibit toe-walking behaviors. Participants will be randomly assigned to either a group receiving treadmill training with compression stockings or a group without them. The aim is to evaluate how these interventions can improve motor skills and balance in children with ASD. Legal guardians will provide informed consent, and initial assessments will be conducted to ensure eligibility based on specific criteria.
Who should consider this trial
Good fit: Ideal candidates for this study are children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder who exhibit toe-walking behaviors.
Not a fit: Patients with associated orthopedic conditions, underlying genetic disorders, or global developmental delays may not benefit from this study.
Why it matters
Potential benefit: If successful, this study could enhance motor skills and balance in children with autism, potentially improving their overall functioning.
How similar studies have performed: While there is ongoing research in sensory-based therapies for ASD, this specific approach combining treadmill training with compression stockings is relatively novel.
