What this trial studies

This study investigates the autotransplantation of wisdom teeth as an alternative to tooth extraction and prosthetic restoration when traditional endodontic treatments are not viable. It focuses on factors that influence the success of the procedure, such as the stage of root development, surgical technique, and the health of the periodontal ligament. Participants will undergo either autotransplantation with platelet-rich fibrin (PRF) or standard autotransplantation. The goal is to assess the effectiveness of these methods in restoring dental function and aesthetics.

Who should consider this trial

Good fit: Ideal candidates are healthy males and females aged 20 to 50 with immature wisdom teeth and no systemic health issues.

Not a fit: Patients with systemic diseases, active smokers, or those with periodontal diseases may not benefit from this study.

Why it matters

Potential benefit: If successful, this approach could provide a natural and effective solution for patients needing dental restoration without relying on prosthetics.

How similar studies have performed: Other studies have shown promise in the field of tooth autotransplantation, indicating potential for success with this approach.
